Immerse yourself in a new experience in the mountains of Montana where your facilitators will guide you in weaving an appreciation of nature and science 150 million years in the making to find a deeper meaning in your yoga practice and your relationship to the earth.

What to Expect

The following is a general daily itinerary for your week with us. The schedule each day and week is highly flexible, dependent on a number of factors, and subject to change upon short notice so that our team can bring you the best experience possible.

Day 1 (Tuesday)

Arrive in Billings/Red Lodge, MT.

  • If flying, a staff member will collect you as a group and drive you to the base camp.

  • If you are driving, please plan to arrive in camp no later than 3 pm.

  • Welcome and Orientation are at 5pm, followed by dinner and evening yoga.

Day 2 - 5

We will start every morning with the opportunity for coffee and light morning snacks before Morning Yoga (active & invigorating to kick off the day) at 7am, followed by breakfast at 9am. You will have a workshop, class or excursion during the day with a stop for lunch, and Evening Yoga (stretching & restorative) before dinner.

Over the course of the week, we will be exploring the plantlife, ecology, geology, geography and even paleontology of the local natural surroundings. By the end of this week, we hope that you will feel, not only familiar with, but connected to the life and landscape that existed in this area 150 million years ago up through today.

Wednesday

  • Workshop: Nature Journaling & Mindful Observation

  • Outdoor Lab: Plant Identification & Understanding the Effects of Invasive Plantlife

  • Evening Class: The Geology of the Beartooth Pass

Thursday

  • Excursion: Exploring the Beartooth Pass

Friday

  • Workshop: Herbal Medicine Making

  • Outdoor Lab: Nature Walk & Integrating Natural Spaces into Your Everyday Mindfulness Practice

  • Evening Class: Paleontology of the the Bighorn Basin

Saturday

  • Excursion: Tour the Bighorn Basin & Visit an Active Paleontology Research Site

  • Nighttime Meditation & Bonfire

Day 6 ( Sunday)

  • Departure

  • After breakfast, we will transport you to the Billings airport, if needed. Please schedule your flight home for a late morning to mid-evening departure so that no one is rushed for time.
