Paleontology Internship Opportunities
There are many internship opportunities across the country available to undergraduate and graduate students in college, early-career professional paleontologists, and even some for enthusiastic high-school students. Check out the great opportunities listed below and let us know if we've missed one!
The BBPI has many excellent opportunities for students to gain valuable experience and build their resumes. These are also opportunities which would be an enormous help in advancing our mission. Internship opportunities with the BBPI may include:

The 2018 Field Expedition Internship will provide extensive, hands-on experiences throughout every aspect of a multi-faceted paleontological expedition, including: organization and implementation of the expedition, methodology and practice of field work, related educational programming and outreach, research, etc. The BBPI will be happy to work with schools to offer the internship for credit if that option exists.

Academy of Natural sciences of Drexel University
The Academy of Natural Sciences hosts an education internship in its Dinosaur Hall. There also may be opportunities in the Dinosaur Hall Fossil Prep Lab, where interns may have the opportunity to prepare fossil specimens collected during BBPI field expeditions.
Wyoming Dinosaur Center
Our friends at the Wyoming Dinosaur Center offer an amazing internship opportunity that includes field work, fossil preparation, education, and research. The Mammoth Site
The Mammoth Site of Hot Springs, South Dakota is offering up to 9 paid summer internships in 2017. Interns will be responsible for public interpretation and education, fossil conservation, and research assistance.
Ashfall Fossil Beds
Ashfall Fossil Beds State Historical Park is offering several paid summer internships for field studies in vertebrate paleontology: 3 internships for May 23 to August 3, and 2 offered for July 31 to September 15. Email rick.ottos@UNL.edu or Sandy.Mosel@UNL.edu for details and application form.
Yale Peabody Museum of Natural HIstory
The Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History hosts an internship focused on Paleontological Experience and Collections Experience. This is a paid summer field opportunity in the Triassic rocks of Arizona's Petrified Forest National Park.
Paleontological Research Institute
